ALGOTS software can automate trading decisions, but it cannot remove market risk. You can lose some or all of the capital committed to trading. Do not use capital you cannot afford to lose
Nature of service
ALGOTS develops software for the MetaTrader ecosystem. We do not provide personalized investment, legal or tax advice; we do not act as a broker, portfolio manager or custodian; we do not hold client funds; and we do not direct or manage client trading accounts
ALGOTS products are general-purpose software. Product information, documentation, examples, settings and educational material on this website are provided to explain the software and are not individualized recommendations to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument
Trading risk
Forex, CFDs, futures and other leveraged or margined instruments can move rapidly and may expose you to losses that are large relative to the capital allocated to a strategy. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. The suitability, availability and legal treatment of particular instruments differ by broker and jurisdiction
Automated trading & software risk
Expert Advisors execute rules automatically. Software can behave differently from expectations because of configuration errors, platform or operating-system issues, connectivity failures, delayed or missing market data, broker restrictions, trading-session conditions, third-party service outages, software bugs or other technical events
Automation does not eliminate the need for appropriate monitoring, account safeguards and an understanding of the system being used
Position exposure and drawdown
Automated trading systems can open or maintain several positions while the market moves adversely. This can increase drawdown, margin usage and the severity of losses during sustained moves. Configurable limits and protection features may constrain certain behaviours, but they do not eliminate risk or guarantee that a loss limit will be achieved exactly in all market, broker or execution conditions. Significant losses, margin calls or account liquidation remain possible.
Performance, live results & backtests
Past or live performance is not a guarantee of future results. Market structure, volatility, liquidity, costs and execution conditions change over time
Hypothetical, simulated and backtested results have inherent limitations. They do not represent actual trading and may benefit from hindsight. They cannot fully reproduce the effects of liquidity, slippage, changing spreads, execution delays, rejected orders, outages, human intervention or the psychological and financial impact of sustaining real losses
Whenever ALGOTS publishes backtested or simulated performance, it should be identified as such and accompanied by material test assumptions such as the tested period, market, starting balance, pricing or tick model, costs and relevant configuration. Actual trading can differ materially from the simulation
Live and simulated results should never be treated as equivalent. Where both are shown, they should be clearly identified and separated
Broker, execution & third-party risk
Results can vary between brokers and accounts because of spreads, commissions, swaps, leverage, symbol specifications, execution model, slippage, liquidity, stop levels, trading hours, data quality and other conditions outside ALGOTS' control. MetaTrader, MQL5 Market, brokers, VPS providers, economic-calendar sources and other services are independent third parties and may change, interrupt or discontinue their services
User responsibility & local rules
You are responsible for deciding whether a product is appropriate for you, selecting and verifying its settings, supervising the account on which it runs, maintaining adequate margin and technical infrastructure, and complying with the laws, regulations, broker terms, prop-firm rules and tax obligations applicable to you
Availability of software through a global marketplace does not mean that every product, instrument, broker or trading approach is permitted or suitable in every jurisdiction
